Villa Hatira is a totally private villa set in the conservation area of Dalyan, S.W.Turkey.
The villa accomodates 6 people in two double and one twin room all with en suite shower rooms and ceiling fans and air conditioning. The double rooms each benifit from their own balconies which overlook the park and famous Dalyan rock tombs the garden and private pool.
Downstairs the open plan air conditioned living area includes a fully equipped kitchen, with dish washer, washing machine, fridge with freezer compartment and cooker with halagon hob, dining area, lounge area and sunken Turkish seating area set around a Turkish stone fireplace.From the living areas double doors lead onto the veranda where you can enjoy views of the famous rock tombs.The perfect place to enjoy a refreshing drink while watching the sun set. Outside, villa Hatira also benifits from its own private pool, garden, bar-b-q, and another Turkish seating area and eating area.Villa Hatira is strickly a non smoking house and we also ask guests to remove their shoes at the door in line with Turkish tradition. Topless sunbathing is also not acceptable in this Muslim country.
Electricity is very expensive in Turkey so we do requests that guests turn the air conditioning off when they go out and when they have doors and windows open. If an excessive use of electricity is recorded then guests may loose all or part of their security deposit. Area Details Dalyan, set in a broad river delta in south west Turkey, is one of Turkey's treasures and as such has been awarded conservation status, this limits the amount and size of buildings. The beach is one of the last nesting sites of the Loggerhead Turtle in the Med. Across the river can be found the ancient city of Caunos where you are free to 'walk over hitory' and wonder at the Roman baths, temples, theatre and roads.
Upstream from Dalyan is a large lake where visitors can enjoy a days boat trip to the sulphur baths with a refreshing swim and an onboard bar -b -q.
Dalyan is a stunning location for that perfect holiday where the surrounding mountains and pine covered hills form an impressive backdrop, the perfect way to relax. For those who are a bit more adventurous there are numerous activities such as mountain biking, bird watching, walking and painting to name but a few, to enjoy in and around Dalyan. Travel Details The village of Dalyan is well served with public transport. The mini buses or Dolmus as they are known, provide a good service to other local towns and the beach. As Dalyan is situated on a broad river delta there are frequent river taxis to the beach. This journey takes about 25 minutes through the picturesque reed beds. Visitors may like to hire a boat for the day to travel out to sea to visit the many coves, or to travel upstream to the lake for swimming or bird watching or just to relax in the peaceful surroundings.
