2 bedroom large housekeeping cottage , ocean view , facing west for great sunsets. Fully finished interior , 12X20 living room,eat in kitchen,full size appliances, microwave. 1 queen and 1 double bed. Shower. Of course SaTV, telephone too(need a calling card). All beds are made !! Bring your own beach towels !!
The cottage is really like a small house. Cozy and comfortable.
Best suited for party of four adults but children over say 10 , can easily walk to the store or the beach.
Walk to beach,wharf, seagull nests. Handy Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Margaree Canadian Heritage River(famous for Salmon(fly only) & trout). Cape Breton fiddlers, hiking, whale watches, artisants all within a 30 mile range. Travel the Cabot Trail full circle easily in a day.
If you want to fly fish for Atlantic salmon, we need to arrange a guide and licenses to be ready on your arrival. In 2004 , the Margaree was good for fishing well into October.
If you want fresh lobster, it is available May through September/October ; crab from mid July to September. Area Details Imagine. Wake up to a view of the ocean, a sunrise from behind the mountains. Watch the sun set on the ocean after a day at the beach. Hike a trail in the national park where you saw a few moose and even saw whales from the peak. Enjoy an evening of Cape Breton fiddlers and step dancers.
Belle Cote is a fishing village,along the Margaree River facing the ocean with the rolling highland hills at the rear.The Cabot Trail highway divides our 100 acres and follows the coastline into the CB Highlands National Park (National Geographic Number 2 in 2004)and loops around the tip of Cape Breton. We have 4 beaches handy, you might see eagles or whales from this location.
People come for the scenery;some for the history of Scotch,Irish and Acadian French, others for Cape Breton fiddlers and stepdancers; or the malt whiskey distillery.
You need a day to travel the Cabot Trail full circle, then time for hikes or a whale watch. This western side of the Island has the warmer waters and longer evenings.
Bell Bay or Portage golf within 1/2 hour; Keltic is about 1 1/2 hrs.

Price Includes:-Cottage, 1 week, prefer Sunday to Sunday. Fully equipped with full size appliances,micro wave, SaTV, VCR. Towels change mid week. You arrive to a fully equipped and clean cottage , and that is what you basically leave behind. There is only one cottage near our B&B . Telephone needs calling card for long distance.
Price Excludes:-Any extra towels, linen changes, daily housekeeping or laundry.
Other Information:-Price is based on 2 adults . Inquire if any children or additional adults. Price varies slightly for stays of 3 days or more ; discounts in slow period. Price not applicable through NS Tourism toll free. Option that we charge a small non refundable deposit. Cancellation policy is booking specific.
