Villa Samira is a newly built detached house situated on a small exclusive development with a shared pool, occupying an idyllic coastal location between the picturesque fishing villages of Gumusluk and Yalikavak on the Bodrum Peninsula.
The villa has stunning uninterrupted sea views from all rooms and both terraces. It is tastefully furnished in a contemporary style and is very well-equipped. The accommodation comprises:
Ground floor terrace with wooden table and chairs with a parasol from under which you can soak up the beautiful sea views. Ideal for al fresco meals or just relaxing.
A light lounge area with a large sofa that converts to two single or one double bed.
Kitchen /diner fully equipped with china and utensils for six people. Washing machine.
Downstairs WC.
Master bedroom with double bed and air conditioning.
Second bedroom with twin beds and air conditioning.
Roof terrace with stunning sea and mountain views. Very private, ideal for sunbathing or relaxing with a cooling drink as the sun goes down over the bay. It’s furnished with large soft brightly coloured floor cushions, sunbeds and a parasol.
The excellent swimming pool, which also has sea views is a minute’s walk away from the villa. The local shop, which stocks all the usual provisions, is less than five minutes walk (you can also telephone orders to be delivered).
There is a local beach within walking distance of the villa
The bus stop is five minutes walk, for regular services to Yalikavak, Gumusluk and Bodrum, and other local beaches . There are also services which will take you all over the Bodrum peninsula and further afield if you wish.
Local places to visit
Bodrum is a large picturesque coastal town with a diverse range of shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife. It has a very beautiful setting with a huge 15th century castle built on the peninsula between the two harbours. The castle is a fascinating place to visit, it has an internal garden reached through seven gates, which is filled with Mediterranean flowers, cactus plants , peacocks and doves .
There is an aquarium below the castle.
There Are many daily boat trips leaving from the harbour , including a day trip to the greek island of kos . Private boat hire is also available .
There is a 4th century b.c. amphitheatre, which is extremely well preserved just outside the town centre.
Yalikavak
Yalikavak is a picturesque unspoilt fishing village 10 minutes from the villa. There is a variety of small , interesting shops and a weekly market .
There are many colourful fish restaurants scattered along the shore line . There is also a new marina .
Gumusluk
Gumusluk is another unspoilt fishing village 10 mins from the villa . It is built on the ancient site of myndos and because of this has been designated as a conservation area , meaning there is no new building allowed in the village .
There is no traffic allowed into the village , which is built along a sandy beach with a small harbour . The village street is a sandy path running along the top of the beach . There are several small shops and numerous restaurants along the beach and harbour . Many of them are fish restaurants , but be aware, the ones on the harbour tend to be more expensive .
A paddle to rabbit island is a must , a small island populated by wild rabbits which are fed by local people. It is reached by paddling over a stone causeway from the mainland .
this is a great place for snorkelling as you can see ancient mosaics and half covered columns on the sea bed. The coarse sandy beach here is ideal for children , as it shelves gently into the sea .
The peninsula
There are many beautiful and interesting coastal and inland towns and villages to explore on the peninsula . All are easily accessible by public transport .
Excursions/ trips : there are numerous excursions to be enjoyed . If you would like to book anything in advance , we are happy to do this for you .
Car hire : we will be happy to arrange car hire for you in advance . You will be met at the airport with the car and driven back to the villa. Rates vary according to the time of year and type of vehicle .
Transfers: we are happy to arrange for you to be met at the airport and taken back for your return journey . The cost for this is £40 each way per vehicle ( not per person ). The villa is a 45 minute journey from the airport .
Large groups : we have two neighbouring villas available in this location , ideal for groups of family or friends holidaying together .
Prices : Nov to March : £250 per week April, May , June , Sept & Oct : £400 per week
July & August : £490 per week

Area Details
The villa is located in a beautiful coastal location between the unspoilt fishing villages of Yalikavak and Gumusluk . The sea views are stunning . The local villages have lovely beaches , interesting shops, weekly markets , daily boat trips and a variety of characterful seaside restaurants and bars.
The bustling town of Bodrum is a twenty minute bus ride and offers a wide variety of shops,restaurants and bars, lively nightlife , beautiful harbour ,Crusader castle and amphitheatre.
There are many activities and excursions available including scuba diving , horse riding , white water rafting, sea kayaking and numerous boat trips, including day trips to the Greek Island of Kos.
