Great fishing right from your front yard! Area Details This lovely oceanfront property is located on Beach Road (or Red Road) on the Puna Coast of Hawaii. This is rural Hawaii at its best. There are no "tourist" attractions here, but there is a lot of adventure! There are not white sand beaches in this area, but there is a small black sand beach nearby called Kehena. There are a couple of black sand beach parks with ocean access in Hilo and in Kapoho. The nearest town is Pahoa, a quaint little village, with its share of fine restaurants. It also boasts an olympic size swimming pool. There is a Sunday Farmer's Market with all kinds of fresh locally prepared food, fruits and vegetables, and crafts, clothing, etc. for sale. You can take day trips from this property to Volcanoes National Park, Waipio Valley, beautiful and friendly Hilo, visit Hawi at the Northern tip of the Island, or head south to Punaluu. Lots to do! Or 2 1/2 hours to Kona!
