Weekly membership available to holiday club nearby (100m) - includes use of large swimming pool, private beach with loungers and parasol, sports and leisure facilities, bars & restaurants, evening shows and other entertainment. Area Details Zambrone has developed into an intimate summer tourist destination, mainly poular with Italians from northern Italy. The beach is over 2 KM long and only really busy during mid-August. There is a huge water park on the beach, open mid-June to mid-September(see: www.aquapark.it)
Zambrone is ideally positioned between the historic towns of Tropea (5 mins car/train)and Pizzo (20 mins car/train). The ferry to Sicily is approx 88 KM (55 miles)away and a day trip to Sicily to vist Mount Etna, Taormina and other Sicilian sights is easily achievable. Travel Details 10 minute walk from Zambrone Railway Station which has services along the coastal route to Lamezia, Pizzo, Tropea, Capo Vaticano and further afield (Sicily, Naples etc.) Local bus service next to the station.
Lamezia Airport 52KM (33 miles). Transfers available.
Embarkation point for mini-cruises to Sicilian islands (Stromboli, Vulcano, Lipari etc) is on Zambrone beach.
Taxis availbale at reasonable cost.
