100 year old stone and wood farmhouse with stunning views 3 miles north of Bath. Clean, tidy, spacious and 'unpredictable' with rooms springing up where you least expect them! Built on three levels with two front doors and two back doors into a large garden separated from the rolling hills by mere wire fencing. Features include stone fireplaces, wood beams, panoramic views, two sitting rooms, a large kitchen with a table that sits eight quite comfortably and some eccentrically decorated bedrooms. When the weather is just right at dawn or dusk, you can see hoards of hot air balloons flying overhead having just taken off from Victoria Park , 5 miles down the road. Area Details A small village community with a church and a primary school (which provides a talking point for the townies that send their kids there!). Church bells, weddings and funerals, community notices, trotting horses past the window, hikers in the fields, farm animals and wild animals slaughtering each other in the night (yes, this is the countryside folks!) can all be found here. The magic of it is though, that 'here' is both in the middle of nowhere and in the centre of everything! Owning a car is more of an easy way out than a necessity as civilisation in the shape of a bus stop is only a 20 minute walk away. From there, a very regular bus service will take you into Bath town centre in 10 minutes and the bus and rail stations in 15. The M4 motorway to London or Wales and the west is a 20 minute drive away from the house. London is two and a half hours away if you're driving, one and a half on the train. Bristol is 30 minutes away by car, you're there in 10 on the train. Travel Details The house is in a small village 3 miles north of Bath. The nearest bus stop into town is a twenty minute walk or 3 minute drive away.
