Traditional country house, up on the mountain, but close to some the island's best beaches, provides the perfect choice for truly relaxed vacations all year round.
The house provides a total living area of 200 square meters with another 300 square meters of courtyards and garden for sole use by the tenants. The main entrance to the house takes you to the upper floor where there are three bedrooms all with ensuite bathroom, one with hydro-massage. Two of the bedrooms have double beds and one has two single beds which connect (no gap) to create a large double. An extra bed can be added in the master room. Cots can be provided upon request. All bedrooms have 20 inch flat screen TVs.
Climbing down the wooden stairs to the ground floor (once used only for cooking, laundry and storage), you will find a truly spacious sitting room with fireplace. There are 3 sofa beds, two of them can accomodate younger people to sleep. There is a 32inch flatscreen TV and Hi Fi System. The Kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer, coffeemaker, toaster whereas a large white-marble sink adds to the kitchen’s traditional characteristics. The dining area seats 8. Through three large doors one can reach the courtyard and the garden where there is an old stone oven and barbeque with dining table. Area Details Dragano, a quiet and pure small village, is only a short drive away from the most beautiful beaches of Lefkada Island (Porto Katsiki, Egremni, Gialos). Here, you will enjoy truly relaxed holidays. The mountainous landscape offers endless choices for walking through rich vegetation, forests and dirt roads which could lead further up in the mountains or to the edge of very high and steep cliffs overlooking the Ionian Sea. Mountain biking is an excellent alternative for those feeling more adventurous (4 bikes provided).
The village is 30 kms away from Lefkada town (entrance to the island), at the island's southwest side which is its wildest and most unspoilt part. A choice of restaurants, bakery, mini-markets can be found at the next village called Athani (2 kms). Health centre, police, post office and a wider choice of tavernas, cafes and bars can be found at Vasiliki village (10 kms). Travel Details By bus/car: Lefkada is the only Greek island that can be accessed via a floating bridge, therefore not having to worry about ferry tickets. Frequent bus service to/from Athens, Salonica
By airplane: International (charter flights) and domestic flights (Athens, Ionian Islands, Crete) to Preveza/Aktion airport.
By sea plane: Connecting to other Ionian Islands
By ferry boat: From Nydri or Vasiliki to Meganisi, Kefalonia, Ithaca
