Area Details Kihei is the driest part of Maui, only about 17" of rainfall per year. Has the best beaches on the Island and is the most convenient area to stay for access to all the sightseeing you will want to do, i.e. Haleakala Nat'l Park, Iao valley, Road to Hana, Luaus, Snorkeling, Diving, Diner Sails, etc. etc. 4 Excellent Golf courses within a few miles. Deep sea fishing available out of local marinas. Travel Details Rental cars available from $147. Per week and we can arrange that for you. Taxis and shuttles are available from the airport at approximately $25 each way. Rental car is highly recommended.
