The Solcosta Apartments Resort is located approximately 4km from the beach and Old Town of Albufeira and consists of three small blocks of 40 apartments around a large swimming pool in 2 bed, 1 bed and studio apartments variety (we can also accommodate larger families and small groups)
All apartments are fully air conditioned with sat TV, direct dial telephones, balconies, wireless internet, full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens and safe. Mature garden, large outdoor swimming pool and children's pool with plenty of sun loungers, ping-pong table, snooker table, coin laundry, parking, Reception bar, pool snack bar in July & Aug, dental clinic, hairdresser, courtesy minibus April-October to the centre of Albufeira and fully equipped gymnasium.Conveniently located nearby are various restaurants, bars, bus stop, supermarket, market with fresh fish and fruit, chemist, baker, butcher, banks, paper shop and local church. Area Details Algarve is a region renowned for its mild and sunny climate, its miles of glorious sandy beaches with their stunning rock formations and its excellent sport facilities. It boasts an average of 3000 hours of sunchine per year, It is mild all year round with virtually no rain in the summer months. February sees the start of spring and it is warm in October. Resort Solcosta is situated only 5 minutes drive from the center of Albufeira which is major tourist resort with all facilities. The old town which perches on the cliff top overlooking the beach, retains a distinctive Moorish character and you can still see the fisherman bringing in their catch on the Praia dos Pescadores ( Fisherman's beach )
GOLF INFORMATION
There are currently 25 courses in the space of 100 miles of coastline, with more under construction. Most of the Algarve golf courses are within half an hour drive from our Resort, some only 15 minutes.
Over the last few years the Portuguese Open has been hosted variously at Penina, Vila Sol and Sao Lourenzo, all of which may be included in the list of top European championship courses. Warm playing conditions and immaculately manicured fairways and greens are the norm in the Algarve. Whatever your level of skills or dedication there is a course for you in the Algarve. Travel Details Local bus just outside the apartments goes during the day to Albufeira centre twice per hour until late.
Car hire and taxi transfer from Faro Airport available at very competitive rates.
