This is a 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath 1915 square foot split-level oceanfront penthouse with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding marsh areas of Amelia Island. It is located in Turtle Dunes, part of the Amelia Island Plantation resort. This is a spacious and beautifully decorated condo. Downstairs, there is a fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, family area and half-bathroom. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Also, there is a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. The unit sleeps 6, and has wall-to-wall carpet.
Literally, you are steps away from the ocean! Area Details This is a AAA 4 diamond oceanfront resort on a spectacular, uncrowded, sunny, coastal Florida barrier island. Amelia Island Plantation has 3 championship golf courses, a large tennis complex, Beach Club (kids camp/activities), nature center and miles of biking and walking trails. This family-oriented resort is gated and also includes a health & fitness center, raquetball courts, spa and ionotherapy, and numerous scattered, hidden playgrounds for kids. There are also picturesque boardwalk views through the marsh and kayaking is also available. There are many casual and upscale restaurants, as well as specialty and clothing shops.
Historic downtown Fernandina is only minutes away, with its many antique stores, art galleries and variety shops.
At any of the three local marinas, activities such as sailing, deep sea fishing and boat excursions are readily available. Also, Jacksonville International Airport is only 30 minutes away. Travel Details On the resort, there is a free tram system that comes by at least every fifteen minutes. To get from the condo to downtown Fernandina or Jacksonville, one must either have a rental car or use an available private transport service. There are several private transport services that go all over the island, as well as to and from Jacksonville International Airport at reasonable rates.
