Sojourn House is a luxuriously furnished 4 bedroom house which sleeps 8 comfortably. All on one level, the 144 sq/m (1550 sq. ft.) house also boasts a large ( 890 sq/m) private back garden with patio. Well built in 1958, it has high ceilings, hardwood floors, and two newly remodeled bathrooms. We've just renovated the kitchen , and it is stocked with all the dishes, glasses, cooking pots and utensils you could want. There are oriental rugs on the floors, two large comfy sofas in the living room, original art on the walls, some interesting 19th century antique furniture, and down comforters, and all cotton bed linens. Two televisions with cable. Small CD player. Lots of books, magazines, some games, and a small video library. Two bedrooms have queen-sized beds. Two bedrooms have pairs of twin beds. Crib and high chair available.There's a full-sized washer and dryer. Smoking is not allowed inside the house, but smokers are welcome. Children 12 years old and older are welcome. A 50% deposit reserves your dates. Visa/Mastercard accepted. A car would be available for a house swap only. Area Details Vashon Island is ideally situated for your Pacific Northwest vacation. Accessible only by ferry boat, the island is a step back in time from the bustle of the big cities nearby. Visit the lighthouse, go beachcombing, kayaking (rentals available), fishing or diving. Bicycle our hilly roads, play golf, or walk to a restaurant or movie in the village. Enjoy Vashon Golf and Country Club Guest privileges: swim, dine, play tennis or golf. There are many excellent golf courses within an hour's travel time. My golfing husband can advise you. Catch a metro bus into Seattle. Seattle's opera and theater scene is world-class, and just a ferry ride away! This is a great equestrian island, with lots of trails (horse rentals available). The excellent Point Defiance Zoo is walking distance from the "South End" (Tacoma) Ferry landing. Shop for antiques, art, and local crafts. Sojourn House on Vashon Island will be a place you'll return to! Travel Details Seattle Metro bus goes by and can be flagged down.
Island accessible ONLY by 15 minute Washington State Ferry ride from Seattle or Tacoma.
