17th century stone house in the village of Poggio, 4km from the sea and from Sanremo. Large rooftop terrace with sea and hill views, in front of village church - with cement B-B-Q, sunbeds, etc. Inside completely renovated and newly re-furnished August 2003, can accomodate up to 8 people. Excellent base for exploring Italian and French Riviera, with Monte Carlo only 30km away. The property consists of a small independent grany flat on the ground floor (not part of the rental property); on the 1st floor the living room features a very high vaulted ceiling and has been completely newly furnished in August 2003, with fold-down double-bed divan, large table for 8 people, 8 chairs, large wall furniture including TV, stereo, DVD, cupboards and bookscases (including substantial stock of books in English!), antique chandalier and mirrors. Also on the 1st floor is the kitchen, again featuring high vaulted ceiling and all new furniture, cooker, fridge, micro-wave oven, washing machine etc. Finally on the 1st floor there is a small bedroom with two single bunk beds, wardrobe and table.
On the 2nd floor there are two double-bed bedrooms, with a large 6-door wardrobe, one of the bedrooms has an antique bed with matching night tables. In between the two bedrooms is the bathroom which has a bathtub, with a shower connection, bidet, WC, etc.
The topfloor is a large terrace (approx. 35sq.mt. - 315sg.ft.)with sea and hill views. The terrace has a large B-B-Q and table and chairs for dining al fresco for 8 people. There are also sunbeds and deck-chairs.
More digital photos available - contact owner. Area Details Close to the glamour of the Riviera, but at the same time offering the peace and quiet of a small village. Trips can be to either the Riviera or up into the mountains. The area is dedicated to the cultivation of flowers, Sanremo being the Floral Capital of Europe. Travel Details Bus stop (buses running to Sanremo centre and train station every 20-30 mins) literally on front doorstep - bus ride takes 10-15 mins.
