Villa Ariadne a privately owned luxury three bedroom holiday home for rental in Crete, tastefully furnished providing quality and comfortable accomodation for families and friends (2 to 6 people) who are looking for a relaxing holiday in a peaceful location.The large swimming pool with Roman steps for easy access is a generous 10.50m by 4.50m wide ensuring that swimming is a pleasure for all the family.
The beautiful countryside location will also appeal to painters, walkers, photographers, bird-watchers, nature lovers and those who want to chill out. Our air-conditioned villa has two double twin bedrooms with balcony and/or verandah and full bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor you will find the main bedroom with kingsize bed, second bathroom and the open plan lounge and kitchen plus two separate balconies with tables and chairs to enjoy the beautiful panoramic views over the White Mountains, the nearby villages of Douliana and Gavalahori and the wider countryside and valleys. There are no other houses in the olive groves surrounding the villa.
We live next door to Villa Ariadne and are on hand for ideas but will otherwise leave our guests to enjoy their stay without intrusion. The garden covers ½ acre surrounded by ancient olive trees and is fully fenced, walled and eletric gated for your privacy and peace of mind. The property also has a covered
carport. Area Details Gavalahori is a lovely Greek village easily reached on foot in 8 minutes. Facilities include a working bakery, patisserie, tavernas/ bar and 2 minimarkets.
The Blue flag resort of Almerida with beach-side tavernas and night life is approximately 5 kms away. Lovely beaches in Georgeopoli are close by. Chania is a 30 min drive
Guests can enjoy walking, watching the fantastic birdlife or savour the flowers and fauna and of course the sun, sea and surf or just lay by the pool and chill out.
The stars at night are an astronomers dream; very little light pollution makes them twinkle as you may not have seen before. Travel Details Hire car is the easiest and most cost-effective transport option but taxis are also readily available.
The village square in Gavalohori is easily walked in 8 minutes by foot.
Buses are available from the village to Chania and Vamos. There are numerous well used walking paths to Vamos, Douliana and Almirida for those who love to explore the countryside.
