Linked villa situated at Orihuela Costa, south of Torrevieja on the beautiful southern Costa Blanca, all rooms furnished to the highest standard. Our house in Scotland is also available.
Spacious, bright,lounge/dining area with leather sofas; fully fitted modern kitchen; one shower-room and one twin-bedded room on the ground floor. Upstairs - one double bedroom (king size bed); one further twin-bedded room and full bathroom with overhead shower. Internal staircase leads to large, furnished roof terrace. Further outdoor seating areas areas include master bedroom terrace, fixed, stone benches and table at side of house, and furnished, shaded porch. Tiled garden. Facilities include ceramic hob, oven, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, iron and board in kitchen, drying racks on terraces. Satellite TV/VCR, CD player, books, videos and games. Aircon/heating in lounge and master bedroom, celing fans in all rooms, additional heaters, house linen excluding beach towels provided. Off road parking. Welcome grocery pack can be arranged. Smoking outside only please. Sunbeds both stationery and portable supplied together with coolbox, foldable chairs, parasol, etc. to take to beach. Two communal swimming pools with controlled entry a few steps from house. Shops, supermarkets and bars nearby. Area Details For beachlovers there are miles and miles of blue flag beaches of every description, from the uninterrupted dunes north at Guardamar and La Marina to the many coves to the south and the sheltered waters of the Mar Menor at "La Manga ('the sleeve' of Spain where the famous golf and country club is located. The nearest beach is less than a 10 minute drive from the villa. For the golf enthusiast there are many nearby facilities including the Mediterranean Championship Villamartin course, Campoamor, La Finca and Las Ramblas. Torrevieja itself is a bustling coastal town going about its business with a long promenade and various marinas. Many Spaniards own holiday homes in the area. There is a funfair and nightly flea market at the sea front and many restaurants and bars. Due to the sunshine and the two huge salt lakes which dominate the town, the region is rated one of the healthiest places in the world by the World Health Organisation. Shopping is superb without the usual chain stores. There is a market every Friday in Torrevieja itself; and surrounding towns and villages hold markets every day. The cities of Murcia (30 minutes) Alicante (50 minutes), Valencia (2 hours)and Madrid (4 hours) are worth visiting, or there are major rail links to most cities, including Barcelona) from Alicante railway station. Explore the "real" Spain with a drive through the countryside where almond trees and citrus groves are plentiful, or further afield to the hills and mountains travelling inland on the southern Costa Blanca. There is a drive known as the "castle route" There are several picturesque and lesser-known towns and cities a short drive away including Elche, known as the "City of Palms." The property is also available to rent. Travel Details Car recommended though there is a regular bus service into town.
